A little peek behind the scenes! Rehearsals are running a little later than anticipated tonight. Emily Cat tells me we're having trouble with some of the new equipment. Our backup singers/dancers don't have cold feet (as you can see, their feet are lookin' pretty stylish), but I'm thinking maybe my cohost does -- still no sign of him. I've heard of being "fashionably late" but this is getting to be a bit ridiculous.
I've tried to give Jimmy the odd pep talk over Skype. You know. Stuff like how Picasso said, "If you hear a voice within you say, 'You cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced." Know what he said to me? Seriously, do you know? I need to ask because I couldn't hear him straight (he was vomiting into the bin beside his desk -- apparently he's a bit nervous).
I might post a little bit of video of rehearsals later in the week if the girls cooperate. Until then --
What can I say? Emily, Ali, and Sally Cat are pretty camera shy. Have you ever tried to do a photo shoot with felines? Talk about wrangling cats! Where we're at right now:
1. Ace writing & production team. √
2. Studio facilities. √
3. Talent. √
4. Wardrobe. √
5. Sidekick/co-host... Would you believe HE can't settle on a TIE?
Thank you for your patience! Just about ready to fly!
Greetings, friends! Would you believe this photo shoot took place last May when I was only eight months old? I was only about 48 pounds here and I've since more than doubled my size (I'm 17 months now)! Little piece of trivia for you (you read it here first). See that pink mark on my ear? My bro, Henry (on the cover with me), was having a strawberry banana smoothie on the back deck that morning before Nathan took our photo. Need I say more...?
For those of you who don't receive the OSPCA's Between Friends newsletter, no worries! You can find an online copy HERE!
More soon! My huMom's been busy with other peoples' video shoots (she tells me her clients are a "priority" whatever that means), but we were actually firming up wardrobe today for MY show! We're pretty much finished with casting, and the fittings are all a go-go!
Hoping there will be news on my series more sooner than later!!!!
Until next time -- your friend,
For anyone who has received the OSPCA's Between Friends Winter/Spring 2014 newsletter these past few days, here is my backstory as told by my three kitten friends. Yeah... That's right... Talking cats here too... (They work in the control room here at my little studio.)
When you go to see animals at the OSPCA, it is difficult to truly comprehend all of the hard work and support behind the scenes not to mention the effort that goes into Rescue & Relief™. Thank you for supporting the OSPCA - every little bit helps. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for the generosity of people like YOU!
Well, it seems we've had some technical difficulties with my web series. We've been trying to keep things under wraps, but it looks like I've scored the new sidekick I've been in contract talks with these past several months (a popular late night host from the USA - apparently he cannot speak "kitten" hence the difficulties with his contract)!
As mentioned, we've been in negotiations for quite some time, and as per his schedule and the recent ice storm power blackouts, launching prior to Christmas with my highly anticipated Christmas Special (featuring extra special guest, Michael Bubblé), obviously did not come to pass. Having said that, things should be back to "normal" here in my studio very shortly.
I can't wait to share with you some of the things we've been working on for my show launch! Unfortunately, Victoria's Secret Angels had to cancel due to the so-called Polar Vortex so we're in talks with the North Vancouver Semi-Secret Angels -- and the New Jersey Cow Devils are on standby.
Thank you for your patience and your ongoing support. Did I mention I'm Mr. June in the OSPCA's 2014 Calendar??!!! You can still get a copy, folks! Why not become a monthly Operation Pet Rescue Donor? :^)
You mean to tell me I've been going outside in THIS weather while cats get to stay indoors and PEE on things like typewriters?
Here's the rub. Truth is, I've never set paws on this book. I may have chewed a corner of it once in a dream last month while everyone else had sugar plums dancing in their heads. Still, dogs, unite. If we can get the word out, it's only a matter of time until we can stay indoors too!
FIVE out of FIVE stars, Francesco!
